That somewhere I might somehow shoot its leg while on the roost and also wound her.

And I'd love to wash her...in the snow on a mountain side where carrion lies preserved by the weather.
A widow left to wild dog packs and feathers.
That someday I might pick them up and reconstruct that love upon an alter.
