Written and originally performed by Robert Childers' Luciferian Agenda (Mt Holly, North Carolina).
I met Robert when I started working at the Milestone. He was working there, as well, and playing in several bands. He also did solo material occasionally. We grew up in the same rural part of North Carolina and had a lot of similar tastes in art, music, and life. We became friends pretty quickly. I was still quite young at the time (20) and Robert really helped me to find my way with performing solo and writing songs for that platform, as up until that point I had only been in punk bands. We recorded my second record at his house in Mt Holly and went on to back each other up on stage. Him backing me up for several years when I performed acoustic sets as Andy the Doorbum and me as a part of his Luciferian Agenda. When he would perform live he had this uncanny ability to take several songs of his and blur them together into one long piece. In this spirit, I've taken two of his songs and pieced them together into one for this album. I thought it was only fitting.

Did a wolf ceremony
Conjured it up out on Brickyard Road
‘Round about 12:30
On a Tuesday night
They took the blood from a misunderstood
Grindcore Autobell employee
They carved pentagrams into their forearms
They listened to Obituary

Wolf ceremony

It’s out there
In the Carolina woods
So close to suburban tract homes
Eating cats, possums, and vagrants
It’s glad to be alone

Wolf ceremony

There’s a howling
You went looking for lovers
You need a nemesis
What’s more dangerous than grown up relationships
Like an amputee feels a missing limb
I can feel your body beside me
What of all the girls to whom I’ve never spoken
She keeps a secret
She’s got a hate for them
Where knives are sharp
And there’s an ancient scraping sound
Open wounds left untended
Our true love will begin
And she’s so ferocious
I long to see her tearing them limb from limb

She’ll tear them limb from limb

The way your Mama was speaking in the church yard
Way too many words
I’ll never understand
Why are there claw marks on your kitchen floor
There’s an evil that’s been working ‘round here
And this is madness and I’m sure of it
This bet is gonna send me straight to hell

Wolf ceremony…
